Homework

Math: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. There will be no homework on Tuesday. We will be taking the test this day.

Reading/Spelling: I am sending home a purple contract that will be due next Monday. There will be vocabulary this week.

Dates


Friday, February 19th- 4th Grade Mall. Students will be selling items during school using the money they have earned for behavior. Please see the note being sent home today.

The next two weeks- Our school is having a canned food drive. Please keep bringing in food if you can.

February 22-26th- SEP week. School will be out at 1:15 p.m. all next week. I look forward to meeting with you to talk about your child. You do not need to bring your child to this conference.

Thursday, February 25th- SCIENCE PROJECT due. Please let me know if your child needs another rubric.



This Week

This week we are finishing up Utah’s biomes in science. Students have investigated the characteristics of Utah’s wetlands, forests, and deserts. This week we will be exploring the characteristics of birds and their habits.

In math we are finishing our decimal unit. Look for the review coming home tonight. We will be taking our test tomorrow.

I have finished grading persuasive and expository essays. I am keeping these essays to show to you at conferences. We are moving on to research reports. Students will be researching Utah’s animals.
