Homework

Math: There will be homework on Monday and Thursday night. We have a review on Tuesday and a test on Wednesday. There will be no homework on these nights.

Reading and Spelling: Please fill out the purple contract for both reading and spelling.


Pictures: Picture day is this Thursday, September 17th.

BOOK REPORT: DUE ON SEPTEMBER 30th.

Reading

This week we are starting reading groups. Students will be meeting with me for 15 minutes a day to go over comprehension strategies. Please have your student read at home and ask questions about what they are reading.

Math

We are finishing up a unit on operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Students are doing well with many of these, but we still need to work on multiplication and division facts. Please work with your child on these. By the end of 4th grade, students need to have their facts mastered.

Science

We are starting a unit on weather. We will be analyzing weather patterns and predicting weather. Please have your child look out the window and make predictions of what the weather will be like the next day.
